Buddhism #22

Dharma from Deer Park Monastery, a meditation practice center in the tradition of the Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. At Deer Park, the resident monks, nuns and lay sangha practice engaged Buddhism and mindfulness in everyday life for the nourishment and development of our spiritual and mental health. Each week, we post a selection of activities of the Deer Park Sangha so that others may share in the realization of awareness and freedom. Deer Park is located in the mountains near Escondido, California and hosts regular Days of Mindfulness open to the public on Sundays beginning at 8:30 a.m. To learn more, visit www.deerparkmonastery.org

Great podcast that deserves more followers
This is a great podcast with excellent sound quality and even better dharma talks that don't get mired in abstractions. Whenever I miss Deer Park, I listen to this podcast.

    New practitioner
I am new to the Deer Park Monastery and unfortunately my personal life does not always allow time to attend the weekly Dharma Talks so this is a fantastic way to still be connected in the community. There are some great talks on mindfulness and guided meditation.

    Dharma cast
These recordings are a fantastic way to help my understanding and practice as a layperson. Great topics, clear vocals, and the collection of talks is hugh now. I like the collection weekly programs the monastics have started to give.

Loved the Colors of Compassion parts 1 & 2!
The darhma talk by Larry Ward was really helpful! Also loved the Touching the Earth explanation - touching the Earth as a reconciliation. Please offer more of the basics on mindful breathing, sitting meditation, walking meditation. Would also like to understand the steps of "Begining anew". Thanks!
